Greetings from Suffocate City, The Funeral Portrait’s first full-length for Better Noise Music, expands the group’s mythology to new heights and dimensions with invigorating, authentic, and passionate anthems. Songs like “Alien,” “Voodoo Doll,” “You’re So Ugly When You Cry” (featuring The Used’s Bert McCracken), and the title track (featuring Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills) fuse the vibrant accessibility of Active Rock with the earnest honesty once screamed at the Warped Tour of the 2000s.
Steadily growing since the band’s formation in 2014, The Coffin Crew is a worldwide assemblage of devotees united in the shared catharsis of The Funeral Portrait’s music. It’s a tight-knit fandom built in the spirit of AFI’s Despair Faction, the MCRmy, the BVB Army, and Ice Nine Kills’ Psychos. It’s a diverse and welcoming community bound by perseverance through adversity and heartbreak.
The band The Rasmus was formed 1994 while the members were still in high school. Their debut, Peep, rapidly went gold in their homeland Finland, making the members rock stars at the age of 16. The follow-up, Playboys, also went gold and earned the group an Emma, Finland’s version of a Grammy. Their third album, Hell of a Tester, included Liquid, a track that was voted Best Single of the Year by Finland’s music critics. 2001’s Into went double platinum in its native country, with its debut single, F-F-F-Falling, going to the top of the charts. An international audience started to build, and the band toured throughout Europe. Their fifth album, Dead Letters in 2003, became the band’s big breakthrough, due in large part to the success of the single In the Shadows. 2005’s Hide from the Sun went platinum in Finland. Their fourth Finnish chart-topper, Black Roses, was released in 2008, produced by Desmond Child. After the release of compilation Best of The Rasmus: 2001-2009, The Rasmus released their self-titled eighth album, The Rasmus in 2012. The band returned in 2017 with the album Dark Matters. In January 2022, the band announced the departure of founding guitarist Pauli Rantasalmi and introduced their new guitarist, Emilia ‘Emppu’ Suhonen. The Rasmus are vocalist Lauri Ylönen, bassist Eero Heinonen, guitarist Emppu Suhonen and drummer Aki Hakala.
Wisconsin-based ARCHERS formed in 2015 as a creative outlet for founders Ben Koehler and Nathanael Pulley, blending metalcore intensity with pop-rock sensibilities. Joined by Oscar Porter and Grayson Mesarosh, the band explores themes of mental health, relationships, and personal growth. Their 2020 EP New Normal marked a breakthrough, drawing comparisons to Dayseeker and Sleep Token. Since then, ARCHERS has continued refining their sound with powerful singles like “Bitter” and “Say This Sober.”
